Firmwide Utilization sample chart
Below are three successful firmwide initiatives from my career: BIM, Delivery and Data
Make It Happen
2006: The Make It Happen campaign was launched to propel the firm to full BIM implementation at a time (2006) when success was not assured.
But driven by excitement, vision and belief, the transformation from CAD to full BIM (all disciplines) was complete in just two years. It was all driven by Jedis.
Reimagine
2010: The reImagine campaign was spurred by a realization that BIM had changed many things, but our delivery processes had remained static. ReImagine created a new sets of processes like Lean Documentation and Day One Thinking that leveraged the unique power of BIM.
Crucially however, this campaign re-imagined a process not driven by technical tools, but by individual behaviors.
Seeing Data
2016: There are ample opportunities in Operations to streamline project delivery. This campaign was driven by the realization that data could be leveraged to more accurately - and in real-time - tell the story of day-to-day operations.
Also, the familiar phrase, “can’t see the forest for the trees” became somewhat obsolete due to the power of these modern tools.
